i) To raise public awareness of mining issues and inform the public of what is proposed and currently happening.
ii) To work to stop the granting of inappropriate mining exploration licences, and mining licences.
iii) To be a resource for residents’ objections to mining exploration and mining activities.
iv) To promote reassessment of mining licences granted, or likely to be granted, over residential and rural residential corridors.
v) To stop, and require mining companies to repair, environmental degradation through mining impacts.
vi) To question the social licence of mining companies.
vii) To encourage communities to be a united group against mining and mining exploration in order to preserve community and environment.
viii) To raise the awareness of the potential harmful effects of mining on the health and wellbeing of residents, and the local environment.
